Privacy

The short version

This site is a set of static files. It has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no login. There is nothing here for you to submit, so there is nothing for us to store.

Third-party requests

Pages on this site load no fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any other host. There is no webfont, no analytics tag and no advertising script, so loading a page here does not tell any other company that you were here.

That includes the App Store icons and screenshots you see on app pages. Those come from Apple originally, but we download them and serve them from this domain rather than hotlinking Apple’s CDN — so viewing them tells Apple nothing about you.

The one exception is obvious: links you click take you to the destination in the normal way.

Outbound links to operators

Where we have a commercial arrangement with an operator, the link goes first to a redirect page on this site, which forwards you on. Those redirect pages are excluded from search indexes.

We deliberately do not strip the referrer on those links, which means the operator can see that you arrived from this site. That is how the arrangement is measured, and hiding it from you while relying on it would be dishonest. What happens after you arrive is governed by the operator’s own privacy policy, not this one — and operators in this industry collect a great deal, including identity documents.

Server logs

The server that delivers this site keeps ordinary web-server logs — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, and the user agent — for operational purposes such as diagnosing faults and blocking abuse. They are not used to build profiles and are not sold or shared for advertising.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own.

Material changes to this page will change the date shown at the top of it.
