Numba is the one brand we track that declares neither Sports nor Casino. The operator advertises a Ghanaian licence whose stated validity ran out at the end of 2025, and the regulator's site would not serve us a page to check it.

We have not installed this app or played on it. What follows is a record built from Apple’s store data and the sources we cite, not from use.
Sources disagree about this operator. We publish the disagreement rather than choosing between them. Apple names the seller of record as Black Star Gaming Limited Company. The operator's own footer names Blackstar Gaming Limited Company, one word, as the holder of Gaming Commission of Ghana licence GCRG25J1266Q. We retrieved no page from the regulator, so we cannot say which spelling is the registered form — anyone taking that licence number to the Commission should try both.
Verdict
This is the only listing we track that files itself under Games with no subcategory beneath it, while the operator's own site calls it a casino and states plainly that it is a real-money gambling app. The store record does not understate what it is — the listing carries both of Apple's gambling advisories — but anyone browsing the store by category will not find this app under Casino or under Sports. On licensing we came away with nothing: the operator publishes a licence number whose stated validity ended on 31 December 2025, and the Gaming Commission of Ghana's website would not deliver us a page on 8 August 2026, so we have no regulator record either way.
What works

A casino that files itself under Games
Of the twenty-four listings in our snapshot, twenty-two declare Sports, Casino or both. This one declares Games, and nothing beneath it — no subcategory at all.
That matters because of what the operator says it sells. numba.app, the seller URL Apple carries
on the listing, is headed “Casino For You In Ghana”, offers roulette, slots, cards and sports, and
states in its footer: “This is a real-money gambling app.” The App Store description sells the same
thing — “the thrill of betting”, and an instruction to “Place secure bets using tokens, track your
betting history, and collect winnings directly to your mobile wallet.”
So anyone browsing the store under Casino will not find this app. Nor will anyone browsing Sports. Search, or a link from the operator, is the only way in.
The store record does not understate what the app is. The listing carries the Gambling advisory — Apple’s marker for wagering real money rather than simulated play — and a simulated-gambling advisory alongside it. The gap is between the product and where it is filed, not between the product and what the publisher declared.
The licence we could not check
The operator makes a specific, checkable claim, which deserves credit. Its footer reads:
Licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana. Blackstar Gaming Limited Company (License No. GCRG25J1266Q). Valid from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
Two things about that.
The stated validity has run out. By the operator’s own dates, the licence expired on 31 December 2025 — more than seven months before we read the page, which carries a 2026 copyright line. We are not saying the company is unlicensed; licences get renewed and footers go stale. We are saying the only licensing document it shows the public describes a period that has ended, and that is what a reader is currently asked to rely on.
We could not check it against the register. On 8 August 2026 we tried repeatedly to reach the
Gaming Commission of Ghana. One request to www.gamingcommission.gov.gh returned an HTTP 200 and
then delivered no page; every other attempt timed out, on both the www and bare hostnames. We
never retrieved a single page, let alone a register. So we have no regulator record for this company
in either direction — not a confirmation, and not an absence that would mean anything.
That is why the transparency axis is scored low. It is not an accusation. It is the gap between an operator’s claim about itself and a regulator naming the licensee, which is what we could confirm for LEONBET and cannot confirm here.
Two practical notes. Apple’s seller string and the operator’s footer differ by a space — Black Star against Blackstar — so anyone taking that licence number to the regulator should try both spellings. And that same footer sends people with a gambling problem to the regulator’s website, which did not load for us either. The listing is rated 17+, this is real-money gambling and not for minors, and the only route to help the operator publishes is one we could not reach — so anyone who needs support should not count on it.
What the specifications do not settle
The store rating is arithmetic, not evidence. The five ratings behind it sum to 18. One further one-star review takes the average from 3.6 to about 3.2; one further five-star takes it to about 3.8. Anything that moves that far on a single vote is telling you nothing.
The only line of engineering description the publisher offers concerns a one-time password. The current version’s release notes read, in full, “Fixed issue with OTP” — the one-time code used to verify a sign-in or a transaction. We can say a fault was fixed, not what broke or how long it was live.
The download is the second largest among the brands listed in a single market, behind LulaBet’s, and roughly forty-nine times the smallest. We have not installed it, and a byte count establishes nothing about what is inside.
Who this is for
If this app appears in your App Store, search the name or follow the operator’s link, then check the bundle identifier above matches. Before depositing, ask for a current licence reference, because the one published on the operator’s site has lapsed on its own stated dates.
